VPOD: Vintage 1960s Mini Dress and Retail Therapy

While a lot of us women would like to remind the men in our lives that they cant take their toys with them, we often forget that the same rule applies to us and our growing collections of handbags, necklaces and shoes!
But theres nothing wrong with practicing a little Retail Therapy, right? You now, that phenomenon where you purchase a little something to cheer you up? (Although it sounds so much more reasonable when described in a study published in Psychology and Marketing as a strategic effort to improve mood.)
But heres the thing: It Works! The study showed that 82% of shoppers indulging in retail therapy were happier after their purchases and almost no one had any buyers remorse.
And the average cost for this quick pick-me-up? Only $59.18!
Now Im not one to encourage conspicuous consumption or binge buying or even retail therapy. My own experience tells me that the real trick to finding lasting good moods and satisfaction comes from finding your way off the merry-go-round of wanting more, more, more and surrounding yourself with fewer things that each imbue you with greater joy.
A friend of mine used to say that there are two kinds of people in the world: those who collect things and those who collect experiences. As for me, I say why not collect things that have experiences attached to them?
Maybe thats why I love vintage items so much. Take todays VPOD for instance.
This vintage 1960s coral dress comes with experiences already attached and is just waiting for you to add your own adventures to the mix. Plus itll fit your retail therapy budget at only $55!
Its a lovely little shopping find for a vintage fashionista!
